Abstract
ABSTRACT Nailan Al-Adzillina, 2020. The Impact of Multisensory Method on Students' Memorizing Vocabulary at TK Halimah Prenduan Sumenep, Thesis, Teaching English Education, Tarbiyah Faculty, Madura State Islamic Institute (IAIN), Advisor Henny Uswatun Hasanah, M.Pd. Keywords: Multisensory Method, Young Learner, Memorizing, and Vocabulary. Vocabulary is words to express the idea in writing form and speaking form. Someone whom have little vocabulary will limit to express their ideas. Vocabulary is divided by two such as receptive and productive vocabulary, the sample in this research are children who is in age 5-6 years they start develophing their receptive vocabulary. In their golden age, it is chance to learn their second language easily because they are good memorizer. There is a phenomenon that kindergarten children aged 5-6 years have problems with remembering vocabulary in English. This was found when there were 11 children in the B Halimah Prenduan Sumenep Kindergarten class, 8 of whom had problems in mentioning vocabulary by not tending to answer the questions the class teacher gave. Based on the phenomena above, researchers are interested in examining the impact of multisensory methods in terms of the ability to remember English vocabulary by using alternative ways to solve the vocabulary problem of two children in the hope that the method will improve the ability to remember children, and to determine how significant the effect is on the ability to remember vocabulary English words. This study uses a quantitative approach that is pre-experimental in design with only one study group. There were 11 students who were sampled as well as the study population. The instruments used are pre-test and post-test, there are tests and documentation that will support and complete the collection of research data. Technical analysis of data using T-test dependent formula. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant impact between students treated using a multisensory method and before this method is applied. Tcalculated value is greater than t-table. t-value = 2.23 and t-0 = 8. 25, t_0> t_t (8.251> 2.23). from the results of data analysis which shows that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. The researcher hopes that the teacher available the sustainable in learning method which relates with the topic. Variants methodology will help the students understanding in learning vocabulary especially foreign language or second language. Effective learning will create brilliant generation in future. Dampak Metode Multisensori Terhadap Kemampuan Mengingat Kosa Kata di Taman Kanak-kanak(TK) Halimah Prenduan Sumenep, Skripsi, Jurusan Tadris bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Tarbiyah, Institut Agama Islam Negeri(IAIN) Madura, Pembimbing Henny Uswatun Hasanah, M.Pd. Kata Kunci: Metode Multisensori, Kosa Kata, Anak Usia Dini, Mengingat. Kosakata merupakan kata untuk mengekspresikan gagasan, ide baik secara tertulis maupun secara verbal. Dengan minimnya kosakata, seseorang akan terbatas mengkespersikan gagasannya kepada orang disekitarnya. Kosakata terbagi menjadi 2 yakni kosakata reseptif dan produktif, dalam penelitian ini adalah anak-anak dengan rentang usia 5-6 tahun mulai mengelola kosakata reseptif. Dengan usia emas anak tersebut, kesempatan mempelajari bahasa kedua menjadi lebih mudah, karena mereka adalah pengingat yang baik. Terdapat fenomena bahwa anak TK dengan rentang umur 5-6 Tahun memiliki masalah dengan mengingat pembendaharaan kosa kata bahasa Inggris. Hal ini ditemukan saaat anak dengan jumlah 11 orang dikelas TK B Halimah Prenduan Sumenep, 8 diantaranya memiliki masalah sadalam menyebutkan kosa kata dengan cenderung tidak menjawab atas pertanyaan yang guru kelasnya berikan. Berdasarkan fenomena diatas, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti dampak metode multisensory terdapat kemampuan Mengingat Kosa kata bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan jalan alternative dalam memecahkan masalah pembendaharaan kosa bahasa kedua anak dengan harapan metode tersebut dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat anak, dan untuk mengurur seberapa signifikan pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan mengingat kosa kata bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kuantitatif yang di desain preEksperimental hanya satu kelompok belajar. Terdapat 11 sisiwa yang menjadi sampel sekaligus populasi penelitian. Instrument yang digunakan adalah pre-test dan post-test terdapat tes dan dokumentasi yang akan mendukung dan melengkapi daalam mengumpulakn data penelitian. Teknis analisis data menggunakan rumus dependen T-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dampak signifikan antara siswa yang ditreatment menggunakan metode multisensory dan sebelum metode ini di aplikasikan. Nilai t-hitung lebih besar dari pada t-tabel. t-value =2.23 and = 8. 25, > (8.251 > 2.23). dari hasil analisis data yang menunjukkan bahwa hipotesa alternative diterima dan nol hipotesis ditolak.Peneliti berharap dengan kepada guru bahasa Inggris untuk menggunakan system belajar atau metode yang sesuai dan efektik untuk membantu belajar kosa kata bahasa Inggris kepada anak-anak TK B. dengan Ragam metode yang sesuai akan dapat menghasilkan produk unggulan generasi di masa mendatang.
