Abstract

Keyword:Translation Process Of Translating Narrative Text Use By The Student Translation process is a process used by students in translating narrative text. there are several processes used by each student when translating the text to make it easier for student to translate. The purpose of this research study to discuss how the process translation in translating narrative text and what kinds of translating narrative text used by the students at eighth grade of MTs Darul Ulum Kedungdung with a qualitative descriptive. The research of this research study was the translation process in translating narrative text went smoothly, and most of the students used the transfer process, this was proven after the students tried to translate using narrative text, second from observations it was proven that the types used by students in translating was more dominant using word for word, this is also reinforced by interviews from each student, some students also use free translation to make it easier for them to translate using their own sentences. Based on the research above, it is suggested to the teacher to provide the best way to translate to students in learning English and provide more practice in translating to students so that students can know how the process of translating text is good and right.
