Abstract
Keywords: Movie, Agent Carter Season 1, Social Conflict Movie is a literary work in the form of drama that is liked by many people, from children to adults. Because movie provides an interesting story, which is contained with a unique plot and complicated problems, so that it becomes the main attraction for the movie. From various movies, especially Marvel movies, the most interesting is “Agent Carter: Season 1” by Christopher Markus. In movie Agent Carter: Season 1, it can be taken as research material, namely the social conflicts faced by the main character. The researcher has three research focuses. First, what are the social conflicts faced by the main character in movie “Agent Carter Season 1”? Second, what are the causes of the main character’s social conflicts in movie “Agent Carter Season 1”? Third, how does the main character deal with social conflicts in Agent Carter: Season 1? The purpose of this study is to identify the social conflicts faced by the main character in movie “Agent Carter Season 1”, to explain the causes of social conflict in the main character in the film Agent Carter: Season 1 and to analyze the solution of main character’s social conflicts in movie “Agent Carter Season 1”. This research is library research using documentation method. The researcher uses a social approach with data sources obtained through movie “Agent Carter Season 1” as the object of research. The researcher used movie “Agent Carter Season 1” as primary data and obtained secondary data from several books, journals, internet and other references. The results of this study indicate that the researcher found several social conflicts faced by Agent Carter, as the main character in the movie. The social conflict she faced, there are conflict of interest, conflict of involving social position and conflict of role. The researcher also found the causes of social conflicts faced by the main character, namely differences between individuals, differences in interests and social change. In addition, the researcher found problem solving from social conflicts faced by the main character, such as competing, collaborating and compromising. It can be conclude that the researcher found three social conflicts faced by the main characters, three causes of social conflicts faced by the main characters and three problems solving of social conflicts faced by the main characters
