Abstract

Keywords: Analysis, Figurative Language, Song’s Lyric. Analysis is the study of observing object of observation by using method and research approach to find out the answer and problem solving of problem. Where the object analysis in this study is analysis figurative language that conceive inside song’s lyric, there are two focuses in this research such as what types of figurative language that is conceive song’s lyric by Michael heart and what are the messages of the song by using figurative language on we will not go down by Michael heart. In this study will be explained what are the dominant figurative language inside the song’s lyric by micahel heart and what are the messages in we will not go sown song’s lyric. Another aim this study is to find out both of them and describe in the result and discussion in this research. This research used library research as part of qualitative descriptive research, besides that, this study used psychological approach with song’s lyric that become the object analysis. There are two data source that used in this study such as primary and secondary data, where primary data was we will not go down song’s lyric by Michael heart and the secondary data were e-book, articles, books or website that contain of the definition and explanation about figurative language. Data collection of this study were implementation, documentation, analyse and note the data. Analysing we will not go down lyric continue to find out the result, and conclude the discussion. The result of the data analysis figurative that use in song’s lyric by Michael heart with the song’s title we will not go down, freedom and what about us conceive of personification is on 4;25%, symbol on 25%, synecdoche on 19%, metonymy on 13%, hyperbole, paradox and simile are on 6%. In conclusion the figurative language that dominant use are seven types of figurative language as Laurence Perrine state there are twelve types of figurative language, yet in this case there are seven types only that use on we will not go down song’s lyric based on the observation. The moral message of that song we must always be grateful. Through learning figurative language and analyse it inside the song’s lyric, poetry or another literature will help in add more knowledge, figurative language is part of literature that can be learned whenever it will be known in deep if often doing the analysis or observation of the use of figurative language in another literature it will become useful thing in world of education.
