Abstract

Keywords: Sosiolinguistic, Code Mixing, Jaksel Youth, Podcast Kesel Aje Sociolinguistic study the ways in which language and society interact, as well as the causes for context specific speech patterns. Sociolinguists view language as a component of social interaction, communication, and culture. Everybody speaks a different language or has a specific communication style. This enables the speaker to modify his terminology in a discourse to better communicate his point. Sociolinguistics, the merger of two languages is called code mixing. One example of a phenomenon that does code mixing is Jaksel youth`s who is covered in podcast kesel aje which belongs to Oza Rangkuti. He`s a youtuber with a current number of 299k subscribers. The podcast is about daily discussions of south Jakarta youths, or regular ABG Jaksel. In his podcaster, Oza Rangkuti, who is commedienne, also explains age-language tutorials that may not be understood. This podcast, there are 759 videos that are broadcasted by the Podcast Kesel Aje, but this research focuses only on 5 videos. The phenomena one of which is about Geography, Economic,as well as the Geography style of south Jakarta`s youth. The objective focus of this research is the type of code mixing that Hoffman discovered and the most dominant code mixing appearing in the Jaksel youth`s on the podcast kesel aje. The novelthy of my research it is interesting because the Jaksel phenomena is a grail. More over, the phenomenon of this language has gone viral and popular, with the fact that it is published on social media even in a Podcast, and if there are studies on code mixing, just a little and no one has studied it on a podcast. This research is a library research, where this research use a qualitative approach that is descriptive. The design of this research use content analysis. Content analysis is method that used in conducting this research since the researcher intends to analyze about of code mixing within Jaksel youth`s on the podcast kesel aje. Data collectiom tehniques use observation is watching the video podcast kesel aje, and use documentation must taken screenshoot of the videos podcast that consist of code mixing. The result of the research also show that there are 28 data points in the different kinds of code mixing. 1 prefix, 2 suffix, 10 word, 13 phrase, 2 clause, 1 ICP are example of code mixing, while the percentages of types code mixing are ILCM 7%, ISCM 89%, and ICP 4%. After analyzing and obtaining the results, the researcher found some code mixing in the video podcast kesel aje. The data is classifiedin several types and is known to be the most dominant type of percentage calculation. The researcher used the kinds of code mixing proposed by Hoffman as intra-sentential code mixing, intra-lexical code mixing and involving a change of pronunciation. The data taken in the video is 28 data, and the most dominant data is at the phrase level.
