Abstract

Writing is an activity that is not easy, writing requires ideas and ideas. In teaching writing, the teacher must choose a suitable strategy. Strategy is very important to be used to make effective class and make it easier for students to understand the material. Example non Example strategy is a strategy that uses picture to convey material. This strategy can be used in teaching writing text procedures, from pictures students can imagine what they have to write to make it easier for students to understand. There are three problems of study in this research, namely: first, the use of example non example strategy of writing procedure text at ninth grade in SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan. Second, what are the advantages of use example non example strategy of writing procedure text at ninth grade in SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan. Third, what are the disadvantages of use example non example strategy of writing procedure text at ninth grade in SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan. The object of this research are: first, to describe the use of example non example strategy of writing procedure text at ninth grade in SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan. Second, to find out the advantages of use example non example strategy of writing procedure text at ninth grade in SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan. Third, to find out the disadvantages of use example non example strategy of writing procedure text at ninth grade in SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan. This research is designed by using qualitative approach, and design of this study is descriptive. Sources of data obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants are from the English teacher and students at ninth grade in SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan. Beside that, the researcher used three techniques for analyzing data, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The research findings the use of example non example strategy of writing procedure text at ninth grade in SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan was success. Because based on the results of interviews with the teacher and some students in the ninth grade of SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan said using this strategy can make it easier for students to understand. The teacher also guides students so that they are active in the classroom. The results of this research show that the use of example non example strategies uses images in accordance with text procedures. Students become easy to understand, classes become effective and students interested in learning are not easily bored. The example non example strategy is suitable for teaching procedures text. Menulis merupakan kegiatan yang tidak mudah, menulis memerlukan ide dan gagasan. Dalam mengajar menulis guru harus memilih strategi yang cocok. Startegi sangatlah penting digunakan untuk membuat kelas effektiv dan mempermudah siswa mengerti materi. Example non Example strategi adalah strategi yang menggunakan gambar dalam menyampaiakan materi. Startegi ini bisa di gunakan dalam mengajar menulis prosedur teks, dari gamabar siswa bisa berimajinasi apa yang harus mereka tulis sehingga mempermudah siswa untuk mengerti. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka ada tiga permasalahan yang menjadi kajian pokok dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: pertama,bagaimana penggunaan strategi example non example pada penulisan prosedur teks pada siswa kelas sembilan di SMP Marif 1 Pamekasan. Kedua, apa saja manfaat dari penggunaan strategi example non example pada penulisan prosedur teks pada siswa kelas sembilan di SMP Marif 1 Pamekasan. Ketiga, apa saja kerugian dari pengguaan startegi example non example pada penulisan prosedur teks pada siswa kelas sembilan di SMP Marif 1 Pamekasan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: pertama, untuk menggambarkan penggunaan strategi example non example pada penulisan prosedur teks pada siswa kelas Sembilan di SMP Marif 1 Pamekasan. Kedua, untuk menemukan apa saja manfaat dari penggunan strategi example non example pada penulisan prosedur teks pada siswa kelas sembilan di SMP Marif 1 Pamekasan. Ketiga, untuk menemukan apa saja kerugian dari penggunaan strategi example non example pada penulisan prosedur teks pada siswa kelas sembilan di SMP Marif 1 Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menggukan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Sumber data di peroleh dat observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informannya adalah guru bahasa Inggris SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan dan siswa kelas sembilan SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan. Di samping itu peneliti menggunakan tiga technik untuk analisis data, data reduction, data representation, adan conclusion atau verification Temuan pada penelitian ini penggunaan strategi example non example pada penulisan prosedur teks pada siswa kelas Sembilan di SMP Marif 1 Pamekasan berhasil. Karena berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru dan beberapa siswa di kelas sembilan SMP Maarif 1 Pamekasan mengatakaan dengan menggunakan strategi ini dapat mempermudah siswa untuk mengerti. Guru juga membimbing siswa agar mereka aktif di dalam kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi example non example menggunakan gambar yang sesuai dengan prosedur text. Siswa menjadi mudah mengerti, kelas menjadi effektif dan siswa tertarik untuk belajar tidak mudah bosan. Strategi example non example cocok di gunakan untuk mengajar prosedur teks.
