Abstract

Keyword: internal factor, student interest, English Subject There are two factors that cause of the lack students interest are internal factors and external factor. In this case just focuses on internal factor of the Students interest in learning difficulties. Internal factor itself is the factor that Come from inside of student such as interest, motivation, and others. Motivation Have more influence of students interest. If the students have high motivation automatically the students have high interest. Based on the explanation above. There are two Research problem of this research: 1. is there any correlations between students’ interest and student English achievement at the 9th on English subject at MTS Nasyrul Ulum? 2. How significant is the correlation between students’ interest and students English achievement at 9th grader on English subject at MTS Nasyrul Ulum?. This research is quantitative research. To get information or data the researcher use questionnaire. There are ten questions that must answer with the students. And use correlation design to know the correlation between x variable and Y variable. The result of this study: the first there is correlation between students’ interest and student English achievement at 9th grader on English subject at MTS Nasyrul Ulum. And the result is 0,44, and the second is there is significant correlation between x variable (students’ interest) and Y variable (student English Achievement).
