Abstract

Keywords: Online Learning, Students Learning Motivaion This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is an impact of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on the motivation to learn English at MTs. Istikmalunnajah Pasongsongan Sumenep. Because during the Covid-19 period, the situation suddenly transformed from the traditional face-to-face learning approach to distance digital learning. There are two problems from this research. The first, is there an effect in online learning on the learning motivation of seventh class of MTs. Istikmalunnajah Pasongsongan Sumenep. The second, how significant the effect of online learning on students’ learning motivation in English of seventh class of MTs. Istikmalunnajah pasongsongan Sumenep. The sample in this study is 30 sudents of odd absence in seventh class in MTs. Istikmalunnajah Pasongsongan Sumenep. The instrument of this research used the distribution of questionnaires and documentation guidelines. This research uses quantitative research, and using the method of distributing questionnaires because the researchers want to know the options of students about is there any effect of online learning on students learning motivation of seventh class in MTs. Istikmalunnajah Pasongsongan Sumenep. The process of collecing data in this study used a questionnaire that was carried out twice to determine the balance of students opinions. The result of the research, the value of rhoxy is -193.0, it has negative it means that the correlation is parallel opposite, it shows that the higher of using online learning, the lower of students learning motivation in English subject. The value of rhoxy is higher than rstable 99% [N=30=0,478]. Therefore, the hypothesis of this research null hyphoteis is rejected and alternative hyphotesis is accepted. It means that there is significant effect of online learning on students learning motivation in English subject of seventh grade in MTs. Istikmalunnajah Pasongsongan Sumenep.
