Abstract

Keywords: Pragmatics, Impoliteness, Peaky Blinders In term understanding a series or a movie some people are not watch the movie or series only for entertain or having fun but also to provide some message that explicitly or implicitly occur on that series, every scene are providing some acts used to call polite and impolite, and of course it refers to real life, when some people conducting communication responds and the way said their utterance are related with polite and impolite, speaker employs impoliteness or polite to the speaker to speaker by threatening speakers face, and sometimes speakers employs impolite acts by didn’t keep the salutation and etc. and some people mostly found this phenomenon on the series or movie, the series that used so much impoliteness are Peaky Blinders. As mentioned before researcher are providing to investigate impoliteness in Peaky blinders Series, how the theory of impoliteness will be fit in with this series. The researcher used qualitative approach with content analysis as the kind of research. The primary source used was “Peaky Blinders” series to find out the data needed. While the secondary sources were journals, articles, books, and theses that related to this research to complete the primary data. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation and documentation. Familiarizing and organizing, coding and reducing, as well as interpreting and representing were used to analyze the data. The researcher conduct research with title “pragmatic analysis of impoliteness series in peaky Blinders series S1 Eps.6. Furthermore researcher found 28 data related with kinds of impoliteness strategies which consists of 5 of bald on record impoliteness, 9 data of positive impoliteness, 10 data of negative impoliteness, 2 data of sarcasm or mock politeness and 2 data of with Hold politeness, and 3 theories about function of impoliteness strategies used in this series, this theory also used in daily society activity to make a great environment in society with no more or reduce impoliteness.
