Abstract
Key words: teaching strategies, work book Nowsdays, English is an international language that use by many people to communicate each other and it become the important thing to understand. But in learning English sometimes many student still difficult to speak and understand English correctly because they have not accustomed to understand it. To minimize the difficulties of learning English, some teacher should use the interesting strategies to teach it, such as using work book. Work book is some materials that designed systematically to achieve the expected competence according to the level of complexity. Work book is one of strategies that have many benefit. It use to help teacher’s implement the curriculum, and provide opportunities for student s to repeat lesson or start learn new lesson from home. The researcher want to analyze about the strategies that used by teacher of SDI Al Munawwarah by using work book for English class program There are two research problems in this research, first is what strategies used by the teacher of SDI Al-Munawwarah in teaching English work book for English class program. And the second is what are the obstacles and solution in strategies used by teacher of SDI AlMunawwarah in teaching English using work book for English Class Program. Meanwhile the purpose of this study are to find out the strategies used by the teacher of SDI AlMunawwarah in teaching English using work book for English Class Program and find out the obstacles and solutions in strategies used by the teacher of SDI Al-Munawwarah in teaching English using work book for English Class Program. This research uses qualitative research. And collecting the data from some narrative, context, statements while the secondary data source is from the analysis such as the social structure and profile of SDI Al-Munawwarah. And the reseach use data triangulation to check data validity. The result of this research is SDI AL Munawarah has proper media facilities in supporting teacher strategies in teaching, especially learning in the English class program.so that the teacher's learning process with a strategy that includes communicative, interactive teaching which is guided by the workbook as the main source of material, is very supported by the media. . Getting lower interest, which could cause boring and being not controlling class are the obstacle will face by teacher. As the solution, teacher good skill or good capability is becoming primary thing to have like; making drama, inviting student to the viral.
