To analyze the data, the researcher uses data reduction, data display, then the researcher immediately concludes drawing and verification. Furthermore, the researchers found 4 types of politeness in the WhatsApp group of the 6th semester TBI study program IAIN Madura class 2020/2021, including: The negative politeness has 11 data with 3 sub strategies, give differentiation, minimize the size of imposition on listener and assert or presuppose S’s knowledge of and concern for H’s wants. Positive politeness has 8 data also with 3 sub strategies, seek agreement, give (or ask for) reason, and give gift to H (good, sympathy, understanding, cooperation). For bald on record itself it only has 3 data with one sub strategy, namely use of an imperative form.
