Abstract

Keywords: Mind Mapping, Grammar Grammar is one of knowledge that informs the students to construct a sentence becomes a paragraph. Language cannot be separated from grammar because grammar is one of the basic in the study language. Mind mapping are a very useful graphical technology that helps students express diverse thoughts and explore their brain potential. Mind maps can effectively focus English learners' thinking on the overall conceptual framework. Decorated with colours, pictures and multidimensional mind maps, it alleviates the blankness of traditional grammar teaching and arouses students' enthusiasm. The problem of this research is on two points, namely “How does the teacher use mind mapping to enhance grammar learning outcome for VIIth grade students of MTsN 1 Pamekasan?” and “How does the students’ responses of using mind mapping to enhance grammar learning outcome for VIIth grade students of MTsN 1 Pamekasan?”. To know result of this research, the researcher has formulated a problem study into the discussion. The subject of this research is the students of MTsN 1 Pamekasan. Researchers used qualitative research methods. Here the researcher wants to know The Use of Mind Mapping in Grammar Learning. The population was the English teacher and seven students with the instrument in this research who were the results of students in grammar learning. In collecting data, researcher used interview, observation and documentation. And data analysis is the presentation of data, as well as checking the validity of the data and the last step is drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicated that this technique was very helpful for the students to memorize and understand the concept of the grammar material. Mind Mapping could be applied in any levels of the students, by delivering the Mind Mapping in teaching grammar, In fact the students were very enthusiastic during the teaching learning process.
