Abstract

Speaking is the main skill in English learning. Speaking is a part of everyday life. The teacher must use good activities especially in English language skill. The approach speaking skills is used to teach students in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Wustha. There are two problems in this research. How does the teacher use communicative approach on speaking skill through English learning at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Wustha? And what are the results of using communicative approach for students speaking skill through English learning at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Wustha? This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The data is taken from observations in the teaching and learning process, interviews with English teacher and students and documentation to support the data. The data is then analyzed qualitatively. The implementations of Communicative Approach to students’ speaking skill run well. The English teacher has three steps in this learning. Where, English teacher use Pre-Teaching by starting to say greeting to the students. Then, the English teacher uses Whilst-Teaching which is entered into the core activity where, the teacher explains the material to be learned. And finally, the English teacher uses Post-Teaching by giving conclusions and closing the lesson. The use of communicative approach in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Wustha increased students in speaking skill, namely bravely and activeness in the classroom in speaking English. Although there are mistakes in pronunciation, students do not felt afraid to speak English because in this approach it is Natural and students felt happy in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Berbicara adalah keterampilan utama dalam pelajaran bahasa inggris. Berbicara adalah bagian dari kehidupan sehari-hari. Guru harus menggunakan kegiatan yang baik terutama dalam keterampilan berbahasa inggris. Pendekatan komunikatif dalam keterampilan berbicara digunakan untuk mengajar siswa di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Wustha. Ada dua masalah dalam penelitian ini. Bagaimana guru menggunakan pendekatan komunikatif pada keterampilan berbicara melalui pembelajaran bahasa inggris di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Wustha? Dan apa hasil dari penggunaan pendekatan komunikatif pada keterampilan berbicara siswa melalui pembelajaran bahasa inggris in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Wustha? Penelitin ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Data tersebut diambil dari pengamatan dalam proses belajar mengajar, wawancara kepada ustadah dan siswa dan dokumentasi untuk mendukung data data kemudian dianalisa secara kualitatif. Pelaksanaan pendekatan komunikatif pada keterampilan berbicara berjalan dengan baik. Ustadah memiliki tiga langkah dalam pembelajarn ini. Dimana guru bahasa inggris menggunakan pre-teaching dengan mengatakan salam. Kemudian, guru bahasa inggris menggunakan whilst-teaching yaitu masuk kepada kegiatan inti dimana guru menjelaskan materi yang akan dipelajari. Dan terakhir guru bahasa inggris menggunakan post-teaching dengan memberikan kesimpulan dan menutup pelajaran. Penggunaan pendekatan komunikatif di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Wustha meningkatkan siswa dalam keterampilan berbicara yaitu dengan keberanian dan keaktifan di dalam kelas dalam berbicara bahasa inggris. Meskipun terdapat kesalahan dalam pengucapannya, siswa tidak merasa takut untuk berbicara bahasa inggris karena dalam pendekantan tersebut merupakan hal yang wajar dan siswa merasa senang dalam proses belajar mengajar di dalam kelas.
