Abstract
Keywords: Tongue Twister, Fun Learning Nowadays, there are strategies that can be used in learning process, the teacher can utilize various kinds of strategies. Various strategies that can increase student interest in learning such as using tongue twister. The researcher is interested in research use of tongue twister, because it is so unique. Commontly, tongue twister was used for high-grade English lessons, but at SDN Padelegan 1 this is still a young learners, using the tongue twister as a fun learning. Besides that, the researcher want to describe the use of tongue twister as fun learning in sixth grade at SDN Padelegan 1, to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of using tongue twister as fun learning at classroom. In this research, the researcher used qualitative approach as research design because the data resulted is in the form of sentence. The kind of research is descriptive research because this research attempts to describe and explain the issue descriptively the use of tongue twister in sixth grade at SDN Padelegan 1. The result of this research showed that the implementation of tongue twister as fun learning is very appropriate for English class, let alone implemented among young learners who have recently learned a foreign language and generally do not like English lessons because it is difficult to understand, but here teacher make tongue twister as fun learning as a fun activity in the classroom so that classes are not boring. The tongue twister was implemented when the teacher is going to start the lesson (pre-teaching) and also when the teacher want to close the lesson (post teaching). The advantages of the use of tongue twister as fun learning, they are make students fell enjoyable in joining the class, get many vocabularies from the use of tongue twister, can make the students spirit and motivated in teaching learning process, and can improve students’ English skill, like speaking skill, reading skill and pronunciation. The disadvantages of the use of tongue twister as fun learning, they are takes a lot of time and make noisy situation.
