Abstract
Keywords: Reading, Kahoot Game Learning media is one of the key factors the success of the learning process. At this time there are still many teachers who teach using less varied learning media. As a result, students feel bored in following the lessons. Therefore, Kahoot is one of learning media that makes students happy to take part in learning in class. The objectives of this research are: first, to find out how the teachers teach reading by using Kahoot game at 8th grade of MTsN 2 Pamekasan. Second, to find out how to students respond to teaching reading by using Kahoot game at 8th grade of MTsN 2 Pamekasan. This research used qualitative approach, while the kind of research used by researcher was descriptive qualitative. In collecting data, the researcher used three techniques. Those are: observation, interview and documentation. The results of the study stated: first, the way teacher use Kahoot game, Firstly, the teacher started by asking students to open h t t p s: / / k a hoo t . i t using a web browser or open the Kahoot application. The second, the teacher asked to students fill in the “Game PIN” given by teacher, then click “Enter”. Next, the teacher are asked to write a nickname as identification and click “Ok, go!”. After all the students joined, then the teacher click “start”. Second, students responses when teachers use Kahoot, they said that they like studying English when the teacher used this media because it can make the learning is fun, interesting, not boring and easy to understand
