Abstract

Keyword: Writing, Recoun Text, Peer Correction. Teaching and learning is an educational activities that happen in every school or institution for education. In teaching and learning there are four basic skill should be owned by the teachers and the students, such as reading skill, speaking skill. Listening skill and writing skill. In educational, writing skill is the most complex activity that should be mastered by the learners. And the writing could be taught very well and enjoy if the learning technique is appropriate. Which the technique or the strategi is to make the teacher and the students could reach the goals together. Peer correction is one of techinuque that can be used in teaching and learning process. Where this technique is to make the students more understand easier and to make the students are more active in the class in the point od discussion with their peer and also their teacher. In this study, the researcher used qualitatiuve research. Which the researcher collect the data from the observation and interview. Besides that, the researcher also use picture and documentation on the process of teaching and learning in the classroom. Then , the researcher will describe and explain the data that already collected on the field about the implementation of peer correction in writing recount text on 8D students of Sabilillah Junior High School Sampang. The results of this study found that the implementing of peer correction in the teaching and learning process in writing recount text on 8D students of Sabilillah Junior High School Sampang, give some benefits or advantages and good respons from the students. Which the advantages are: students are more active in the class, the students are able to increase their knowledge from their peer correction that they found on their friends’ writing,active discussion makes all of students participate in the classroom, the students have more opportunity to share their knowledges
