Abstract

Keywords : Teaching Method, Main Character, Sokola Rimba Film Teaching method is the method used by the teacher to convey the material so that the material can be delivered properly according to the conditions in the classroom. That is why teaching method is important for the teacher. Because, when the teacher prepares the teaching method before doing the lesson, the teacher already has the preparation so that the learning takes place well. In addition to preparing the teaching methods that will be used, teachers must also have a way of how they can be close to students and students feel comfortable when learning, with the aim that the material presented will be easier for students to understand. If students like the way the teacher teaches, they will enjoy it and have an interest in studying. In this research, the researcher purpose two research focus. The first is the types of teaching method and how main character performs the teaching method in Sokola Rimba Film. It means what methods are found in Sokola Rimba Film used by main character and how main character in teaching. So the student can understand and enjoy when learning. In this research, the researcher used qualitative as an approach of this research and library as a kind of research. Furthermore, the researcher took steps before analyzing, namely watching a film , finding the data need, and last analysis the data. Then, the researcher used triangulation of data source in checking the validity of data. Based on the result of the analysis,the types of teaching method that the reasearcher find in the film are preaching method, demonstration method, discussion method and field trip method. This teaching method is used by main character while teaching alternately. Main character made this innovation with the aim of learning that is not boring and students become more enthusiastic in learning. The material presented will also be easier to understand. In addition to that, to work well with the teaching methods, main character does several ways, namely making preparations before learning takes place such as media, determine the teaching methods, determine the topic, interacting with students, and the last one is giving appreciation to successful students. This research is expected to be useful for teachers and future researchers. Researchers will accept suggestions and criticisms to make this thesis good
