Abstract

Keywords: Sticky Note, Media and Writing Sticky notes are a type of paper that has a small square size. However, in this case sticky notes are used in learning. This is to add a new nuance to learning. Sticky notes themselves mean small sized pieces of paper and have adhesive on the back so they can be stuck to books, whiteboards and so on. Sticky notes have various colors so that they attract students' interest in learning. Media that can be used to support learning such as PowerPoint, YouTube, books and others. In this research the teacher uses visual media in learning English. This is because the teacher use sticky notes as a media in teaching writing to students in class XII MA Matsaratul Huda Panempan. The problem of this research is at one point, namely how does the teacher use sticky note as media in teaching writing the student at MA Matsaratul Huda Panempan. This problem focusses on the use of sticky note by teachers in class XII at MA Matasaratul Huda Panempan. Researcher use qualitative research methods. Here the researcher will explain and describe the use of sticky note as a media in teaching students to write. The data source in this research is the class XII English teacher. In collecting data, researchers used interviews, observation and documentation. And data analysis is data display, data reduction and verification/drawing conclusions. The results of this research state that the use of sticky note as a media in teaching students to write is adjusted to the material in the book and the use of this media is adjusted to the students' abilities. Using sticky note as a media in teaching can give students interest in learning and can increase students' understanding of the material presented by the teacher. So, it can be concluded that using sticky note as a media in learning is very effective in improving learning activities and really helps students understand the material.
