Abstract
Keywords: Esp,Need analysis English is a global language, generally English is taught in public schools starting from the elementary and secondary levels but not only state schools, vocational schools also apply English as the main subject in their schools for various reasons and their respective purpose, for example, majoring in hotels, electrical engineering , engineering, nursing, pharmacy, economics and others. The purpose of this study is to find out how important English is for vocational schools in health schools and what are the goals that health students want to obtain and what benefits are obtained, the focus of this research is there are 2, namely the needs of students in English, the second, what are the benefits received, The location of this research will be carried out at SMK KESEHATAN NUSANTARA PAMEKASAN, in Eleventh Grade class of pharmacy. In this research, This study uses a qualitative approach, while the type of research with researcher using descriptive qualitative, in collecting data, researcher use three techniques, namely, Observation techniques, documentation from teachers and students and using structured interviews.. In observation, the researcher will observe the students' teaching and learning process about English material, while for the interview, the researcher will interview eleventh grade pharmacy students using a guidelnine interview, and finally, they will conduct a documentation session. while conducting research at SMK KESEHATAN NUSANTARA PAMEKASAN From the results of the research that was obtained after conducting the research, data were obtained from eleventh grade pharmacy students that students needed English as a language requirement, drug pronunciation and pharmaceutical terms, prescription writing for these things, without English language lessons students would feel difficult compared to without learn English, and students feel that by learning English there are many benefits that can be obtained from the results of this study it can be concluded that English is an important subject, teachers must know what students want in English so they are able to apply it properly
