Abstract
Implementation is the way how tutor implement weekly meeting program to help members speaking skill. Speaking is one of basic skills in English that most of students expect to master. Weekly meeting program is one of activities in a week at BBEC that used by BBEC’s tutor to help members’ speaking skill, weekly meeting is the special meeting in a week that all members of BBEC come together in a place and do an that related with speaking activity and speak up in public as like speech, reading a poem, being a reporter, and analyzing a movie then retelling it. There are three research problems in this study: first, How do the tutors implement weekly meeting program to help members’ speaking skill at Bata-Bata English Center (BBEC) in Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan, second, What are the difficulties faced by the tutors in implementing weekly meeting program to help members’ speaking skill at Bata-Bata English Center (BBEC) in Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan, and the third, How do the tutors solve the difficulties in implementing weekly meeting program to help members’ speaking skill at BataBata English Center (BBEC) in Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan. This research use qualitative research, the researcher collected the data from observation, interview and documentation. From the data collected, the researcher can know the Implementation of weekly meeting program to members’ speaking skill at Bata-Bata English Center (BBEC) in Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan, the difficulties faced by the tutors in implementing weekly meeting program to members’ speaking skill at Bata-Bata English Center (BBEC) in Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan, and the way to solve the difficulties in implementing weekly meeting program to members’ speaking skill at Bata-Bata English Center (BBEC) in Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan. There are seven activities to implement weekly meeting program here, first, the official of BBEC give information and schedule a week before about what activity will be gone in the next meeting, second, All of the members’ BBEC prepare about what they want to perform, third, Every group must have the delegation to perform in front of audience, fourth, the official BBEC prepare the place, and property what they need to do weekly meeting as like, sound, microphone, and others, fifth, before the delegation perform, the group must show a violence, sixth, all of delegation ready to perform, the last is closing. There are five difficulties faced by the tutors in implementing weekly meeting program, here are, uncondusive environment, less of media, Members' Bad behaviour, Lack of motivation, and lack of members self confident. There are five ways to solve the iv difficulties in implementing weekly meeting program here, first, the way to solve uncondusive environment is wait a cottage program done in order members of BBEC can do their activity, second, the way to solve less of media is BBEC's tutor use a audiovisual media to help the members in teaching learning process as like a video about short drama, third, the way to solve members’ bad behaviour is BBEC's tutor give them punishment and motivation, fourth, BBEC's tutor make the members who lack of motivation with a unique and fun activity as like smart vocab, and the last one is have to be maximal in preparing and trying everyday to hang out the nervous with always ask them to practice in front of other people. Penerapan adalah cara guru untuk mengaplikasikan program weekly meeting untuk mencetak bakat berbicara siswa, berbicara adalah salah satu bakat dalam pendidikan inggris yang kebanyakan siswa ingin menguasainya, program weekly meeting adalah salah satu aktivitas mingguan di BBEC yang digunakan tutor BBEC untuk membantu kemampuan berbicara siswa, program weekly meeting adalah sebuah pertemuan istimewa mingguan dimana seluruh member BBEC berkumpul disatu tempat dan melakukan aktivitas-aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan kemampuan berbicara seperti pidato, membaca puisi, menjadi reporter, dan menganalisa film kemudian menceritakan kembali. Ada 3 rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini, yang pertama bagaimana tutor menerapkan program weekly meeting untuk membantu kemampuan berbicara siswa di BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan, yang kedua, apa saja kesulitan yang dihadapi tutor BBEC saat menerapkan program weekly meeting di BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan, yang terakhir bagaimana tutor BBEC mengatasi kesulitan-kesulitan yang mereka hadapi dalam menerapkan program weekly meeting di BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Untuk mengumpulkan data peneliti menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari data yang dikumpulkan peneliti bisa tahu bagaimana tutor menerapkan program weekly meeting untuk membantu kemampuan berbicara siswa di BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan, yang kedua, apa saja kesulitan yang dihadapi tutor BBEC saat menerapkan program weekly meeting di BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan, yang terahir bagaimana tutor BBEC mengatasi kesulitan-kesulitan yang mereka hadapi dalam menerapkan program weekly meeting di BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan. Hasil penelitian dari penerapan program weekly meeting untuk kemampuan berbicara siswa di BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan. Ada 7 aktivitas, yang pertama, tutor memberikan informasi satu minggu sebelum program weekly meeting dimulai, kedua, semua member BBEC mempersiapkan tentang apa yang akan mereka tampilkan, ketiga semua tutor mempersiapkan segala property yang dibutuhkan ketika weekly meeting sepertri, sound, mix, dll, kelima, sebelum delegasi dari semua kelompok tampil mereka harus menampilkan yel-yel, keenam, semua member BBEC siap ntuk tampil, aktifitas terahir adalah penutup. Ada 5 kesulitan yang dihadapi tutor ketika menerapkan program weekly meeting, yaitu: lingkungan yang tidak mendukung, kekurangan media pembelajaran, kebiasaan buruk siswa, kurangnya motivasi siswa, dan kurangnya percaya diri siswa. Ada 5 vi cara yang digunakan tutor untuk menghadapi kesulitan-kesulitan dalam menerapkan program weekly meeting, pertama untuk mengatasi kesulitan lingkungan yang tidak kondusif adalah menunggu selesainya program pesantren agar bisa melakukan aktivitas weekly meeting, kedua, untuk mengatasi kesulitan kekurangan media adalah dengan tutor BBEC menggunakan media audiovisual untuk membantu proses belajar mengajarsiswa BBEC seperti video tentang short drama, ketiga, untuk mengatasi kesulitan kebiasaan buruk siswa adalah dengan tutor BBEC memberikan hukuman yang mendidik atau unik, keempat, untuk mengatasi kesulitan kekurangan motivasi adalah dengan tutor BBEC memberikan aktivitas yang menghibur seperti game pendidikan tebak kosa kata, dan yang terahir maksimal dalam latihan agar dapat meminimalisir ketidak percayadirian siswa ketika berbicara didepan umum.
