Abstract
Keyword: Corrective Feedback, Writing Essay, IAIN Madura Giving corrective feedback is one of the important techniques in helping he student writers improve their writing pieces, it help the students to improve their writing. If the mistake are ignored in the early stages without given any feedback, it will be more difficult to deal with them later on. Therefore, it should be given because it is helpful for learners. If the teacher corrects the mistakes of the students’ writing. It will help the students learn the mistakes on their writing. Learning their teacher’s feedback will help the students avoid those mistakes in the future. This is one of the positive effects of the teacher’s feedback. . There are two types of research focuses in this study. First, about How do students responses of 3rd semester academic year 2022-2023 of English department toward lecturers corrective feedback on writing essay at IAIN Madura. Second, about How does the corrective feedback techniques on writing essay used by the lecturer in writing 3 at IAIN Madura. The researcher used a qualitative approach with a descriptive kind of research. Researched obtained data from, observation interview and documents such as written result and photographs. The research informants were TBI students’ on the third semester in A class of English Department academic year 2022-2023. Based on the result of the study, the first is about How do students responses of 3rd semester academic year 2022-2023 Of english department toward lecturers corrective feedback on writing essay at IAIN Madura the writing 3 If the researcher relates with the finding the student the lecture use corrective feedback in teaching essay at writing 3. The lecturer use direct corrective feedback and indirect corrective feedback in teaching essay at writing 3. The student always understand when the lecturer apply the corrective feedback because the lecturer feedback is clearly and the student directly correct the writing after the lecturer give corrective feedback, the student checked and fixed the essay after corrected by the lecturer.The second, about How does the corrective feedback techniques on writing essay used by the lecturer in writing 3 at IAIN Madura The writing 3 lecturer prepared herself in conducting teaching learning proses used corrective feedback on writing essay.First, The lecturer give material about essay and the students responded to teacher explanation after giving material.Second the writing 3 lecturer give an example about essay. Third The writing 3 lecturer give the student assignments according to kind of topic and the students write an essay. After the students write the essay and submitted, the lecture review in the classroom.
