Abstract

Keyword: Teachers Created Song, Young Learner, Vocabulary Teachers created song is one of media that used by IPPM Institute course in teaching vocabulary for young learner. This song have made by the teacher self before teaching their students without imitate or taken from another website. By using this teachers created song, it have been shown how creative the teacher. There are three research focuses in this research focus. First, how does the teacher use teachers’ created song in teaching vocabulary for young learners at IPPM Institute course. Second, what are the advantages of using teachers’ created song in teaching vocabulary for young learner at IPPM Institute, and the last, what are disadvantages of using teachers’ created song at IPPM Institute. In this research, the researcher uses qualitative approach that focus on describing the uses of teachers created song that used by one of teacher at IPPM Institute in teaching vocabulary for young learner that is in level A1 that consist Ten students, the advantages and disadvantages by using teachers created song. To collecting the data, the researcher also uses observation, interview and documentation. The result of this research, the researcher found three steps in using teachers created song, such as: Opening, Main teaching, and Closing. For opening section, it is time for teacher to greet the students, praying together, and checking the attendance list of students. In main teaching, section for teacher to introducing the new vocabulary and also the teachers created song to young learner and for the last section that is closing, in this section teacher give some of quiz for the students that still related with the topic and then, doing preparation to go home. Based on the result above, it is suggested for the teacher to more creative in using this teachers created song. For IPPM Institute course, it will better to have more technique and media as strategy in teaching the students. For students, the researcher suggested to always have good motivation in learning and always remember that learning is a long term process be sure that always keeping your spirit in studying. For the researcher, this researcher hope this research could give more information and reference about the use teachers created song in teaching vocabulary
