Abstract

Keyword: Pictures, Media, Vocabulary Media are things that can provide information, with media they can express their knowledge in communication between teachers and students and can also make students easy to learn. So the researcher wants to measure the advantages and disadvantages of images in vocabulary learning. Vocabulary is one of the important things in learning English. However, students sometimes have difficulty in memorizing and also find it difficult to pronounce vocabulary. In this study there are three focus problems, the first, how teachers use pictures as media in teaching vocabulary for young learners at SDN 1 Bindang Kec. Pasean Kab. Pamekasan, the second, what are the advantages of using images as media in learning vocabulary and the third. What are the disadvantage of using pictures as media in teaching vocabulary for young learners at SDN 1Bindang Kec. Pasean Kab. Pamekasan This research uses a qualitative approach. The data was obtained from the results of observation, interview and documentation. Meanwhile, the subjects are teachers and students at SDN 1 BindangKec. PaseanKab. Pamekasan. The researcher then analyzed by appointment and proof. In addition, to obtain the validity of the data, this study shows how teachers use pictures as a media in teaching vocabulary for young learners at SDN 1 BindangKec. PaseanKab. Pakistan. Then the advantages of using pictures as media in teaching vocabulary for young learners at SDN 1 BindangKec. PaseanKab. Pamekasan, can make students easy to learn, the material is easy to understand, fun and not bored to follow the lesson. Then the weakness of students is difficult to find out vocabulary from pictures of fruits and animals one by one, Based on the above results, it is recommended for English teachers to understand the condition of students in the classroom, prepare appropriate teaching materials, apply interesting strategies for their students and always motivate students to improve their abilities, especially in learning vocabulary.
